does anyone think jingxiang has a weird way of saying 電視？to me, it almost sounds like dian4 xi4.

This always stood out to me as well, interesting observation. For one thing, I think If you're used to really heavy RRRRs in beijing-hua 北京話, then this style of speech is going to sound a bit awkward. I think for the most part though it's this girl's cutesy voice that makes for the weird pronunciation. And if you listen closely, the r sound at the end is definitely there.

I hear her say dian4shi4, but that's just me.
這不就好了 doesn't mean "it isn't OK", but rather "This (這) bad thing (不) becomes good (就好了)". The bad thing Daxiong was referring to is that Jingxiang didn't watch TV because she had piano lessons. However, if he had done what Daxiong said by taking the day off, this bad thing (這不) would become a good thing (就好了) because she would have been able to watch TV.
If just translating this sentence alone, it would be a rhetorical question like "Doesn't this fix the problem?" or "Right?" So in the context above, the sentence "你只要請假不要去上課, 這不就好了" (note I added the comma) can be translated as "You should have taken the day off and not gone to class". Else, if you want to be more literal, you can go for "You only need to take the day off and not go to class. Right?"
真是煩 is better translated as "How annoying..." imo.
好不容易 in this context means (in bold) "I finally got the chance to be alone with Jingxiang."

here 不 does not mean 'the bad thing'
sjcma: I beg to differ. Here 不 is the ellipsis of 不是. The original sentence could be read as : 這(樣)不(是)就好了! In this context, Daxiong suggested Jinxiang to take a day off, then the thing (not to be able to watch TV) would have been settled. 這樣不就好了-Wouldn't this (taking a day off) settle everying?!

One should always listen to semantic nuance over me. I guess I was trying to break down the grammar of the phrase 不就好了. I'm not a grammar expert so I was just "guessing" the grammar of this phrase. How would you break down the grammar?

Please don't say that. No one should "always" listen to anyone. One needs to judge things on his/her own. I might be wrong even though I'm a native Chinese speaker. Your latter explanation of 這不就好了 is correct. However, I just wanted to point out 不 here does not mean 'the bad thing'. I think it could be read as 這(樣)+不(是)+就+Adj了.

Why the caustic tone?
Absolutely, there's no need for talk about who's opinions more valid than others. We're all here to learn and help each other learn, and the more angles we have the better. Sjcma, while you're obviously an expert in the language, I would think you'd be happy to have a native speaker make corrections when necessary. It helps you grow just as much as it helps everyone else. Just as I'm thankful for having anyone help me at my admittedly low ability level.

Hi Mcorello, I was not being caustic at all, but rather deferring to semantic nuance since she is a native speaker. It was meant to be a self deprecating comment rather than a sarcastic caustic one. Sorry to all if I was unclear. Perhaps I should have added a smiley. I was simply stating that if you're looking for an opinion from a native speaker such as semantic nuance or someone like me (a pseudo-native speaker), I'd say you'd be wise to choose the opinion of semantic nuance 99.9% of the time.
As for 不 meaning a "bad thing", I guess I was a bit frivolous in my explanation. 不 obviously means a negation. In 這不就好了, what was a negation (不; or negative action aka "bad thing" in my lingo) could have turned out positive (就好了) if the previous advice (referred to by 這) was followed. This phrase is idiomatic and can be used as a rhetorical question meant to be answered in the positive (just add a 嗎 at the end). Again, I could be off in my grammatical analysis here, so feel free to correct me ^_^
