• 其實我今天(喔)要講的話題(喔)應該是我好久以前就很想跟大家講

Qíshí wǒ jīntiān (ō) yào jiǎng de huàtí (ō) yīnggāi shì wǒ hǎojiǔ yǐqián jiù hěn xiǎng gēn dàjiā jiǎng.
Actually, the topic that I want to talk about today, well, is something that I had wanted to talk about for quite a while now.

• 可是那時候呢 覺得好像是在鋒頭上(喔)

Kěshì nà shíhòu né, juéde hǎoxiàng shì zài fēngtóu shàng (ō)
But at that time, it was at its peak.

• 不想湊這個熱鬧所以先避下鋒頭

Bùxiǎng còu zhègè rènào suǒyǐ xiān bì xià fēngtóu.
Really didn't want to join in the ruckus so thought that I'd lay low for a while.

• 果然現在應該比較少人在聊了吧

Guǒrán xiànzài yīnggāi bǐjiào shào rén zài liáo le ba.
As expected, fewer should be talking about it now.

Zhège jiùshì yǒu guānyú diànyǐng Dáwénxi Mimǎ.
This is about the movie The Da Vinci Code.

• 這個達文西密碼在六月 應該是六月那時候上演吧

Zhège Dáwénxi Mimǎ zài liù yuè yīnggāi shì liù yuè nà shíhòu shàngyǎn ba.
The Da Vinci Code, in June...should around June when it opened.

• 真的是造成很大的轟動(喔)

Zhēnde shì zàochéng hěn dà de hōngdòng (ō).
It really caused a big sensation.

• 全世界的人(呢) 大家都蠻注意 這樣子

Quán shìjiè dé rén (nē), dàjiā dōu mán zhùyì, zhè yàngzi.
The whole world, everyone was paying a lot of attention, you know.

• (那)尤其那個時候(呢) 這個電影(啊)比較特殊(喔)涉及到一些宗教的話題(喔)

(nà) Yóuqí nàge shíhòu (nē) zhège diànyǐng (ā) bǐjiào tèshú (ō) shèjí dào yìxiē zōngjiào de huàtí (ō).
Especially at that time, this movie was a bit out of the ordinary in that it touched upon some religious issues.

• 所以造成蠻大的軒然大波的

Suǒyǐ zàochéng mán dà de xuānrándàpō de.
Hence, it created some fairly large ripples.

• 那我今天要講甚麼? 我今天講說這個電影到底好不好看

Nà wǒ jīntiān yào jiǎng shéme? Wǒ jīntiān jiǎng shuō zhège diànyǐng dàodǐ hǎobùhǎo kàn.
So what do I want to talk about today? I want to talk about whether this movie was any good or not.

• 我覺得這個電影好不好看(喔)可以分成兩方面來看(喔)

Wǒ juédè zhège diànyǐng hǎobùhǎo kàn (ō) kěyǐ fēn chéng liǎng fāngmiàn lái kàn (ō).
I think whether this movie was any good can be looked at from two angles

• 這是我身邊的朋友啦 從他們身上問到意見

Zhè shì wǒ shēnbiān dé péngyǒu la, cóng tāmēn shēnshàng wèn dào yìjiàn.
which I had gotten from asking my personal friends about their opinions.

• 這是大概 一個就是好看 一個當然就是不好看啊

Zhège dàgài, yìge jiùshì hǎokàn, yìge dāngrán jiùshì bù hǎokàn ā.
This can be roughly divided up as "it's a good movie" and the other of course is "it's not a good movie".

• 那就怎麼好講 這是說(唉) 好看的人呢 大部分(喔) 根據我的了解是他們大部分都是還沒有看過原...沒有看過書的人(喔)

Zhè jiù zěme hǎo jiǎng, zhè shì shuō (āi) hǎokàn dé rén nē, dà bùfèn (ō) gēnjù wǒ de liǎojiě shì tāmen dà bùfèn dōu shì hái méiyǒu kàn guò yuán ... méiyǒu kàn guò shū dé rén (ō).
So how to say this, this is to say, those who liked it, according to my understanding, are those that did not read the original...did not read the book.

• 看了之後呢 他們覺得 "誒,這樣子想法很新奇啊"

Kàn le zhīhòu ne, tāmen jiúde, "éi, zhè yàngzi xiǎngfǎ hěn xīnqí ā."
After watching the movie, they though "Huh, that's an original point of view."

• 當然可能是那個電影拍攝的手法 到了最後結局的地方的時候呢 很多人覺得蠻荒謬

Dāngrán kěnéng shì nàge diànyǐng pāishè de shǒufǎ, dào le zuìhòu jiéjú de dìfāng de shíhòu nē, hěn duō rén juéde mán huāngmiù.
Of course, it may be due to how the movie was shot, but when it came to the ending, a lot of people thought it was rather absurd.

• 就是電影寫出說:"誒,這個女主角有可能是耶穌的後代"的時候,全場都爆笑

Jiùshì diànyǐng xiě chū chūlái: "éi, zhège nǚ zhǔjiǎo yǒu kěnéng shì Yēsū de hòudài" de shíhòu, quánchǎng dōu bàoxiào.
Because when the movie revealed that the main female character could been the desendent of Jesus, the whole theatre bursted out in laughter.

• 反而這樣子一個好像題材蠻嚴肅的電影(呢)結果變成一個喜劇

Fǎnér zhè yàngzì yì ge hǎoxiàng tícái mán yánsù de diànyǐng (nē) jiéguǒ biànchéng yì ge xǐjù.
A movie which seemed to have a rather serious topic ended up being a comedy instead.

• 那也沖淡了說這個 對這個事實的一些懷疑(喔)我覺得感覺到這是一個純粹的fiction吧

Nà yě chōngdàn le shuō zhège...duì zhège shìshí de yìxiē huáiyí (ō) wǒ juéde gǎnjué dào zhè shì yì ge chúncuì de fiction ba.
This also diluted the argument that.... My suspicions to the facts of this movie led me to believe that this is pure fiction.

• 覺得不好看的人大部分的人(啊)都是看過小說的人

Juéde bù hǎo kàn dé rén dà bùfèn dé rén (ā) dōu shì kàn guò xiǎoshuō dé rén.
Those that did not like the movie for the most part are those that have read the novel.

• 因為看過小說的人之後你會覺得說:"唉,這個電影喔,時間實在是太短了. 那短到(呢)沒有辦法(呢)把那個書中裡面的最巧妙的部分表現出來."

Yīnwèi kànguò xiǎoshuō dé rén zhìhòu nǐ huì juéde shuō: "ài, zhège diànyǐng ō, shíjiān shízài shì tài duǎn le. Nà duǎn dào (nē) méiyǒu bànfǎ (nē) bǎ nàge shū lǐmiàn de zuì qiǎomiào de bùfèn biǎoxiàn chūlái."
Because those that have read the novel will say, "Sigh, the movie just doesn't have enough time. So short that there is no way to bring out the book's most clever parts."

• 因為書裡面我覺得 書裡面最巧妙的部分就是他怎麼樣去解密的過程(喔)

Yīnwèi shū lǐmiàn wǒ juéde...shū lǐmiàn zuì qiǎomiào de bùfèn jiù shì tā zěnmeyàng qù jiěmì de guòchéng (ō).
Because the book, I feel.... The book's most clever part is how he went about figuring out the secret code.

• 事實上那個男主角他並不是所謂的天縱英明式的天才

Shìshí shàng nàge nán zhǔjiǎo bìng bùshì suǒwèi de tiānzòngyīngmíng shì de tiāncái.
In reality, the main male character is not someone who can be called a naturally gifted genius.

• 他還是要根據他很多的學識啊 根據他很多的經驗喔 去找出這個迷迭結果

Tā háishì yào gēnjù tā hěn duō dé xuéshì ā, gēnjù tā hěn duō de jīngyàn ō, qù chǎochū zhège mídié jiéguǒ.
He needed to use all his knowledge, all his experience, in figuring out the mystery.

• 中間的過程其實才是最有趣的最緊張

Zhōngjiān de guòchéng qíshí cái shì zuì yǒuqù de quì jǐngzhāng.
At the end it is the process (of figuring out the mystery) that is the most interesting and most suspenseful.

• 可是在電影上面變成就是一個很平面的交代過去囉

Kěshì zài diànyǐng shàngmiàn biànchéng jiùshì yì gě hěn píngmiàn de jiāodài guòqù lō.
But in the movie, it was introduced in a very nonchalant manner.

• 好像就把那個男主角變成說他是一個...他是一個全知方面的人喔 所以他甚麼都知道

Hǎoxiàng jiù bǎ nàge nán zhǔjiǎo biànchéng shuō tā shì yì ge...tā shì yìge quánzhī fāngmiàn dé rén ō, suǒyǐ tā shéme dōu zhīdào.
Kind of like making the main male character out to be a...he is an all knowing person, so he knows everything.

• 因此(呢)就感覺上就沒有像書裡面這樣子那麼緊張刺激

Yīncǐ (nē) jiù gǎnjué shàng jiù méiyǒu xiàng shū lǐmiàn zhè yàngzi nàme jǐngzhāng cìjī.
Therefore, it lacks the suspense and excitement of the book.

• 可是我基本上覺得說這部電影它把書裡面大概要講的情節大概都已經講出來了

Kěshì wǒ jīběn shàng juéde shuō zhè bù diànyǐng tā bǎ shū lǐmiàn dàgài yào jiǎng de qíngjié dàgài dōu yǐjīng jiǎng chūlái le.
But I feel basically that the movie did deliver all the main scenes in the book.

• 當然這個細節方面 怎麼說呢 書一本那麼大一本(喔) 那你真的要把它改編成電影的話 電影時間這麼短

Dāngrán zhège xìjié fāngmiàn, zěme shuō nē, shū yì běn nàme dà yì běn (ō) nà nǐ zhēnde yào bǎ tā gǎibiān chéng diànyǐng de huà, diànyǐng shíjiān zhème duǎn.
Of course, if you look at the details...how should I put it...this is a big book and if you really want to script it as a movie, the time that a movie has is so short.

• 要在這短短兩個多小時裡面去表現這麼多的細節其實也是蠻不可能的事情啊

Yào zài zhè duǎnduǎn liǎngge duō xiǎoshí lǐmiàn qù biǎoxiàn zhème duō de xìjié qíshí yě shì mán bù kěnéng de shìqíng ā.
In a short span of two hours or so, presenting so much detail is pretty much impossible.

• 從文字(呢)化為影像中的過程呢 都有自己想像的空間(喔)

Cóng wénzì (nē) huà wéi yǐngxiàng zhōng de guòchéng nē, dōu yǒu zhìjǐ xiǎngxiàng de kōngjiān (ō).
Everyone has unique ideas of how to map words to images.

• 那導演他自己想像的空間(呢)不可能說跟每個人都一樣(喔)

Nà dǎoyǎn ta zìji xiǎngxiàng de kōngjiān (nē) bù kěnéng shuō gēn měigé rén dōu yíyàng (ō).
The director has his own ideas and it is impossible for those ideas to be the same with everyone else.

• 所以(呢)就會覺得:"啊,好像怎麼跟我想像差很多" 就覺得說:"不好看"

Suǒyǐ (nē) jiù huì juéde : "ā, hǎoxiàng zěnmē gēn wǒ xiǎngxiàng chā hěn duō" jiù juéde shuō : "bù hǎo kàn".
Therefore, many will feel (about the movie), "Ah! How come it's a lot different than what I had imagined." and as a result they will feel (about the movie): "It's not good".

• 實際上我也覺得這個電影少了書裡面那種緊張刺激啦

Shíjì shàng wǒ yě juédè zhège diànyǐng shǎo le shū lǐmiàn nà zhǒng jǐngzhāng cìji la.
In fact, I too feel that this movie is lacking the suspense and excitement of the book.

• 大體來說它還是一個還可以的電影啦

Dàtǐ lái shuō tā hái shì yìge hái kěyǐ de diànyǐng la.
Generally speaking, it's still an OK movie.

• 畢竟,那這麼多的人(呢)花了那麼多的心力 把這那種書裡面的那種平面的東西把它立體化出來其實一件很不容易的事情

Bìjìng, nà zhème duō dé rén (nē) huā le nàme duō de xīnlì, bǎ zhè nà zhǒng shū lǐmiàn de nà zhǒng píngmiàn de dōngxi bǎ tā lìtǐhuà chūlái qíshí yí jiàn hěn bù róngyì de shìqíng.
After all, many people have spent a lot of effort and energy, taking things in the book, something that is flat and making it into three-dimensional. It's not an easy thing to do.

• 所以(呢)我是覺得盡量是從好的角度去欣賞它喔

Suǒyǐ (nē) wǒ shì juéde jìnliàng shì cóng hǎo de jiǎodù qù xīnshǎng tā ō.
Therefore, I feel, let's try our best to appreciate this movie with a positive attitude.

• 那畢竟沒有甚麼事情是完美的嘛

Nà bìjìng méiyǒu shéme shìqíng shì wánměi de ma.
After all, nothing is perfect.

• 從另外一個角度看它,不要把它看那麼嚴重(喔)

Cóng lìngwài yì ge jiǎodù kàn tā, búyào bǎ tā kàn nàme yánzhòng (ō).
Looking at this from another angle, don't take this so seriously.

• 反正就是一部電影嘛 一部娛樂的電影

Fǎnzhèng jiùshì yí bù diànyǐng ma. yí bù yúlè de diànyǐng.
It's just a movie. A movie for entertainment.

• 這樣子看一看(喔)會比較輕鬆

Zhè yàngzi kàn yí kàn (ō) huì bǐjiào qīngsōng.
Look at it as such and you'll feel more relaxed.
